From May 8th to 12th, 2023, the teachers from the University Language Center (Uniwersyteckie Centrum Języków Obcych - UCJO) - Katarzyna Gałka, Ewa Kowalska, Hanna Łysiak, and Joanna Ososińska-Ciechomska, visited Epoka University in Albania (https://www.epoka.edu.al/home) as part of the KA107 Erasmus+ grant.
During the visit, meetings were held with both the management team, including the Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Öztaş, Vice-Rector, Prof. Dr. David Felsen, and the teaching staff. Many ideas were discussed for developing cooperation between partners from UCJO and Albania. These ideas included promoting the UCJO and student exchanges under the Erasmus+ program, conducting joint Polish-Albanian student projects as part of classes, exchanging teaching staff, teaching specialized languages, and addressing the issue of utilizing artificial intelligence, such as ChatGPT, in foreign language instruction.
The UCJO teachers also conducted classes on Business English and Cross-cultural Communication for the Epoka University students. This provided both students and teachers with an opportunity to experience a culturally different working environment.
